A very beautiful and impressive city. I visited it with my wife and we were both very happy with the trip. There are many must-see sights such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace. But there are also less well-known destinations such as Savile Road, for people who are interested in more upmarket clothing, as there are many well-known tailors there. In the city itself, it's easy to get from A to B on the underground or simply on foot.

Highligts

We explored the city and visited all the sights

Hidden gems

Anyone interested in good suits should definitely visit Savile Road

Destination recommendation

One of the most famous cities and lots to explore

We were in London for 4 days as a couple and did a complete sightseeing tour. The city is very beautiful, with many interesting sights, such as the Tower of London or the Elisabeth Tower with Big Ben. The city has many other interesting buildings to offer. Everything from the famous Harry Potter was also created here, which was great for me as a fan. Station 9 3/4 was depicted just like in the film. It was great.

Highligts

Visit to the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey

Hidden gems

The London Eye with a view over the city and the shard.

Destination recommendation

Sightseeing tour for history simply very interesting.

I can recommend the city of London to everyone. There is a lot to learn about the history of England here. We visited all the historical sights. I was most impressed by Westminster Abbey. Big Ben lit up in the evening looked really great. The London Eye, which is the highest Ferris wheel in Europe, was gigantic. You had a great view over the whole city.

London is definitely worth a visit. There is a huge range of museums, most of which are free. For example, the National History Museum, which was my favourite. The city is also great for strolling and shopping, as there are all kinds of brands and shops. Getting around on the underground is very easy and is no problem after a few glances at the map. Unfortunately, as a tourist you have to be careful at events like the Kempten Market, as there are a lot of pickpockets out and about. In my experience, however, this is limited compared to other big cities like Paris. Definitely a must for culture fans!

Highligts

The city centre offers many beautiful parklands and invites you to take a stroll. Big Ben is also worth a visit. I also really liked the London Eye. The cultural programme is phenomenal.

Hidden gems

The Indian restaurant Punjab really impressed me. If you like Indian food, you should definitely go here.

Destination recommendation

I would recommend London because it is a very colourful city where many cultures come together.

Pros

Many museums and other cultural offerings

Many catering establishments and restaurants

Cons

As a tourist, you have to be careful in some neighbourhoods

Very expensive

London offers many sights. We have been to the Shart and Horizon 22 during our visits and have always visited good restaurants such as Cubana. The city is very easy to reach by plane from Germany. Public transport makes it easy to explore the city. Shopping is also very easy in the city.

Highligts

We have been to London many times but you can do this again and again. There are many beautiful things to experience, such as a visit to the second tallest building, Horizon 22.

Hidden gems

Not only sightseeing but also good food rounds off a visit to London. Eating an ice cream made from a fish in Chinatown, for example, is very tasty.

Destination recommendation

Transport and accommodation is very easy to find and makes visiting London simple and straightforward.

Pros

Many sights

Good food

Cons

Partly rather expensive in terms of accommodation

Discover London´s culture

One of the things that London and the whole of the UK is most famous for is its royal family and Buckingham Palace. Its almost a right of passage that every Brit should have seen the inside of Buckingham Palaces stunning State Rooms filled the most exquisite things and adorned with gold-leaf. Within find a piano that Queen Victoria played, priceless paintings, 350 clocks and maybe even a few mysterious secret doors. Also, on offer is the possibility to see the room that has been used for every coronation since George IV in 1820, while walking through feel the deep and rich history that lies all around you and walk in the footsteps of some of histories most famous people. Then before leaving don’t forget to see the changing of the Guard, this too is something you won’t be able to see anywhere else. Watch the men as they move with the most precise precision and grace as they guard the queen’s home.

London’s quirky side

One of the most amazing things about London is the food, there you will find some of the oddest yet tastiest places to eat that you would never think would work but somehow do. So, the first place to visit is Burger & Lobster and true to its name that’s the only two items they have on their menu. Or are you more of an arty type of person and don’t love anything more than doodling the night away? Well there’s a place for that too, The Doodle Bar. Garlic obsessed and shots obsessed? Then visit the Garlic & Shots restaurant, here not only is everything served with garlic but they even have a selection of garlic shots for its true hardcore lovers. Can’t get enough cereal? Go to the Cereal Killer Café where they serve over 120 different types, every cereal lovers dream come true. This is only a small selection of some of the very exceptional dining experiences that London has to offer if you dare.

Feeling adventurous in London?

A great thing to while in London is to take the chance to embrace your inner child, visit the disco in an adult ball pit. Not only is it a massive ball pit for adults but they also serve fabulous planet themed cocktails to try like the charcoal and nitrogen cocktail Neptune. Enjoy the adventurous cocktails and then let your hair down as you do your Olympic gold medal worthy head first dive into the ball pit. Sticking with the nitrogen theme go to Camden and watch your choice of ice cream be frozen with liquid nitrogen before your very eyes. Or if your mind is still very firmly stuck on the idea of cocktails then visit Bring Your Own Cocktail (B.Y.O.C.) in Soho, here bring whatever spirits you like and watch your very own mixologist create fabulous cocktails for you based on exactly what you love and hate, in the setting of a speakeasy style bar.

Picture perfect places and things to do

Feeling hungry, well the ideal place to go is the hidden Japanese food court in Piccadilly Circus, not only will you find wonderful delights here but you’ll also find them made to exquisite perfection so that they’re almost too gorgeous to eat. Or if you’re feeling more traditional then go for a gorgeous traditional afternoon tee with a twist on a red double decker bus, but it gets even better because the genius inventor of this concept also incorporated gin. Have a lovely afternoon cruising through London learning all about its most iconic landmarks while eating gorgeous finger sandwiches and exquisite cakes on a vintage tea set while sipping some lovely gin.
