Found in the West Midlands, is the city of Birmingham, the second largest in the whole of England with a population of just over 1 million residents. The city is located exactly in the middle of England and has slowly developed from the 18th Century to be one of the most prominent cities and is also an economic hub as there are many businesses based here. Part of the roots of the city lie in the distinctive accent and dialect which is common throughout the West Midlands in the nearby cities of Wolverhampton and Coventry.
