Antalya is a fantastic holiday destination for families. There is plenty to do and lots to see. The city offers a wealth of sights to discover. From the historic old town of Kaleiçi to the ruins of Perge. The numerous shopping opportunities make Antalya a shopper's paradise. Whether traditional markets or modern shopping centres, everyone will find something to suit their taste here. Of course, the beautiful beaches should not be forgotten. With their clear water and fine sand, they offer ideal conditions for a relaxing family holiday. Antalya is definitely a place to visit to create unforgettable memories.

We travel to Turkey every year. There are some super nice hotels there, most of which are all-inclusive or ultra-all-inclusive. During our last stay in April 2023, we stayed at the Aletris Deluxe Hotel in the Gündoğan district. The Aletris Deluxe Hotel was only opened last year and is therefore relatively new. The food tastes great there. We booked the offer as a package holiday and the price-performance ratio is very good. This is one of the reasons why we travel to Turkey every year. Another reason is the many activities on offer at the bazaars, which are close to the hotels. On our last trip in April, we went rafting followed by a jeep safari. An absolute excursion highlight and adventure. You can choose different combinations for the excursion. The costs depend on the combination. Individual bookings of activities are also possible. Quiet activities such as hammam or massages are also offered at the bazaar. The bazaar is also a great place to shop. I recommend a visit to the old farmers' bazaar in Manavgat. Manavgat is around 60 minutes from Antalya. The trip to the farmers' market is well worth it. I always buy spices there, which are very reasonably priced. My only negative point is the travelling time. It took us half a day to get to the airport, fly and transfer. However, this is also due to the fact that we had already travelled 2 hours to the next airport by train. However, when we finally arrived at the hotel, the journey was definitely worth it. I can therefore highly recommend Turkey as a holiday destination.
Rafting tour, jeep safari and visit to the Tazi Canyon
The many activities you can do in the area around Antalya are a highlight. We went wild water rafting, on a jeep safari and visited the Tazi Canyon.
There are some super nice hotels in Turkey, most of which offer all-inclusive catering. The food is delicious and drinks are available throughout the day. The price-performance ratio is very good. You can do lots of activities there and also spend cosy days by the sea.

The journey was very pleasant. We were driven to the hotel by private transfer. It is highly recommended to use a private transfer. We were in Kumköy, near Side. You could walk along the promenade all the way to Side. A visit to Side Antik is a must, very beautiful views and some culture. You can go anywhere with the Dolmus, the journey only costs €1. The food at the hotel was very good and very extensive. The return journey was also great.
A trip to Turkey over New Year's Eve is worthwhile. Long walks are very pleasant in the cooler weather. Shopping is also much more enjoyable. The hotels offer great New Year's Eve parties.
Side Antike is always worth a visit. There is always something new to discover and the small shops invite you to shop.
Pleasant temperatures and great sights.

Wellness and relaxation
Antalya has always been one of my favourite places for summer holidays, the main reason is, as I said, that you have a great opportunity to go into the sea from every corner. You don't have to travel a lot to go into the water somewhere. You're always on the move and have the opportunity to cool off at any time.
I can definitely recommend the various beaches as activities. Land of Legends in Antalya also offers a wide range of beach promenade activities to choose from.
Land of Legends for children and family. Very nice entertainment.
In my opinion, Antalya is one of the best places in Turkey to spend your summer holiday. The most important reason is the beaches.
Strength are the beaches
There is not so much sightseeing except the city
Nature lovers
I'm generally not a big fan of all-inclusive holidays to Turkey. As we have two small children, we didn't have much else to do and we travelled to Antalya. The trip itself was really relaxed. It was easy to combine relaxing in the accommodation with a few activities that we did in the city. Of course, with two children we weren't out and about that often. But we were still able to explore the city. We hired a car as our means of transport and it went without a hitch. And then we went into the city. We went to the aquarium, saw a bit of the city centre and what I think was the highlight was the cable car ride. What I would avoid is doing a photo shoot there again. The price was no cheaper than in Germany, the quality was even worse and it just took up valuable time.
The aquarium in Antalya was really good and our children really enjoyed it. There are also lots of nice restaurants and the city centre was nice too.
I found the panoramic views from the cable car breathtaking
It's a good mix of everything. You have culture, nice food, good and cheap accommodation and nature. So there's something for everyone

The Hadrian' Gate and the Antalya Archaeological Museum are two sights for those who prefer historical, cultural sightseeing. Kaleiçi is also the historical town centre which is great to walk around on a hot summers day. The Sefa Hamam Turkish bath is great for those who wish to relax; an alternative for those beach lovers, that is if they can tear themselves away from the Konyaalti Beach. This beach is exquisite and you can spend a day in the sun whilst admiring the Mediterranean Sea. For those more adventurous, why not dapple in the water-sports that are on offer in the area whilst staying in one of the finest Antalyan holiday homes. The nearby resorts of Cyprus and Marmaris also offer great coastlines for those beach lovers already wanting to plan their next holiday.
The Pamukkale and the Düden Waterfalls are two of the most exquisite natural sites of Antalya, which have to be seen with your own eyes - just make sure when you are visiting that you plan what you want to do in advance because you are spoilt for choice! When it comes to cuisine, the Turkish really do have unique and great dishes to offer all visitors. The worldwide famous doner kebab is well worth a try as there is no better place to eat this than Turkey. The Turkish style of bread and vegetarian dishes are also unique but well worth trying Enjoy your stay in a Antaylan holiday rentals and have a great holiday exploring the local culture and taking in the scorching sun.
