Holiday rentals in Istanbul

One of my favourite cities is Istanbul. I love the city. There is so much to see and you can try lots of new things to eat. It's much quicker and easier to get around by train or metro bus than by car, because the traffic in Istanbul is usually overcrowded. I love walking through the city in the evening. The Bosphorus Bridge is beautifully illuminated in the evening. You can also try many cuisines, there is a lot of choice. You can visit the Blue Mosque, the Galata Tower, the Hagia Sophia, the Maiden's Tower in the middle of the sea, the Beylerbeyi Palace by the sea. The large old mosque by the sea in Ortaköy is also well worth a visit, where you can also eat delicious kumpir and waffles. You can take a boat trip across the sea and the Bosphorus, which takes an hour.

It is very easy by train

It's better to use the buses and the train, that way you can get everywhere much faster

My travelling experience was very positive. I spent more than two weeks there and explored a lot. Various museums, palaces and other sights were a highlight of my trip, as there is a lot to see and learn about the history. You can try many traditional and modern dishes in various restaurants, which also taste delicious. Even with the euro exchange rate, the trip is very worthwhile. I was there in autumn and the weather was excellent. It wasn't too hot, but it was warm.

I ate the best kebab. Visited various palaces and learnt about their history. Tasted new food. Shopped at the local market.

Small restaurants often taste better than large, expensive ones. Use public transport instead of a taxi.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes to go on holiday in the city and loves food.

We flew with Turkish Airlines. The tickets were a bit expensive, but the flight was very comfortable and the food was delicious. When we arrived, a heat wave hit us, so the weather was wonderful. We went to the Galata Tower and the hamam. As we speak the language we had no problems, but if you don't speak the language you can get ripped off quickly. Unfortunately, it has become a bit more expensive (food, activities, etc.)

Istanbul is a city with a diversity that is indescribable. I'm often there and I can truly say that I see new things and discover new places every time. They say it's a city that never sleeps and it really is. If you take the ferry across the Bosphorus at sunrise in the morning, you see an Istanbul that is much more different at sunset.

Istanbul is special because of its unique location, which makes it a bridge between Europe and Asia. The city impresses with historical sights such as the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace, while the Bosphorus offers a picturesque backdrop. The mixture of cultures, traditions and the lively atmosphere make Istanbul a fascinating and versatile travel destination.

Explore the Beyoğlu neighbourhood for trendy cafés and boutiques, sample local delicacies at the Spice Bazaar and take a ferry across the Bosphorus for breathtaking views of the city. Also visit the lesser-known neighbourhoods such as Kadıköy for authentic local flair and the Çukurcuma antiques market for unique finds. In the evening, enjoy the sunset on the waterfront promenade in Ortaköy and explore small alleyways for hidden gems off the main tourist trail.

Nowhere else in the world is there a city located on two continents with such great diversity.
