Delft is most famous for its pottery, Delftware, and for being the hometown of Johannes Vermeer, Dutch Golden Age painter whose best known work is The Girl With The Pearl Earring. Explore Delft's ceramics heritage on a walking tour, or head to the Royal Delft factory and museum, and get familiar with the life and works of Vermeer at the Vermeer Centre. In the pedestrianised city centre you'll find the Oude Kerk (old church) and Nieuwe Kerk (new church) as well as the Prinsenhof Museum and the beautiful Stadthuis, or city hall. Climb the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk for fantastic views across the city, and even The Hague and Rotterdam. There's so much to see and do when you have a Delft holiday rental!
