Grand Casablanca accommodation – Discover the region behind the film
The region is known for its fine weather and proximity to some of the most exciting sites in Morocco such as the country's largest and the world's third largest mosque, the King Hassan II Mosque.
The classic film starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall was based in Casablanca and visitors with a taste for retro glamour can still get a feel for the city's French colonial past in the architecture and sights of the Corniche, the Medina and the Old City. The Corniche is the perfect place for a walk and there are lots of cafes to stop at for a cool drink as you take in the ocean views. Though the Medina is small, it is still a nice example of a walled city and it can be easily reached from most Grand Casablanca accommodation.
There is more to the region than the city, and Grand Casablanca accommodation in the seaside town of Mohammedia is perfect for beach lovers. Parc de Villes Jumelees has attractions for younger and older children and is just a short walk from the beach, and within easy reach of most holiday apartments in Grand Casablanca.
The Grand Casablanca region is easy to reach from almost any part of the world, and there are regular flights to Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) from most major European cities, the US and Canada. They are close to other nearby regions and cities that are equally exciting and withas much to discover, for example Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer, Marrakesh-Tensift-El-Haouz and the city of Fes in Fes-Boulemane.
