Our city trip to Milan was a very nice change from the beautiful Italian countryside. The cathedral and the Passage Victorio Emanuele are definitely a must for every tourist. Unfortunately, we were a bit unlucky with the weather, but the city is supposed to be amazing in good weather. In the evening, Navigli is a great place to go for dinner. There are restaurants there with great Italian food such as Neapolitan pizza and great wine.

Highligts

Don't miss the cathedral and the Victor Manuele Passage. And go to Navigli in the evening.

Milan is a place with a lot of character. There are lots of little shops for souvenirs and some inviting restaurants. The highlight of my holiday was definitely the royal palace. An impressive building with a lot of character. Another highlight was the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, where I was able to admire a fantastic exhibition. I definitely recommend this destination.

I was in Milan from Monday to Friday and it was really nice. We visited the cathedral and the other buildings in the area. The castle was also beautiful. The city itself is clean. Except for the suburbs, which are a bit dirty. The underground is highly recommended as it is very punctual and reliable. The restaurants are also very good value for money and the pizza is delicious. I would recommend travelling to Milan to anyone, as there is so much to experience. It's a very beautiful city. The prices for the hotels are also reasonable.

A super beautiful city! As we travelled by train, we either walked around the city or used public transport, which worked really well. My favourite sights were Milan Cathedral, the theatre, Dan Maurizio Church and Simplon Park. The best restaurants were Terazza Gallia with an impressive view and Majo Restaurant, which was delicious. The city is absolutely worth a visit!

Milan accommodation for your Milan Travel

As the capital of Italian fashion, there are of course plenty of Milanese shops and boutiques in the Quadrilatero d'Oro (golden rectangle), offering plenty of opportunities to purchase your own piece of bella moda or to splash out on souvenirs for friends and family. With accommodation spread out all over the city and close by to all of the main sights and attractions, you can be sure to find the perfect apartment for your stay. Milanese apartments and villas for your stay in Northern Italy One of the must see places in Milan is the Duomo - the biggest Gothic cathedral in the world. This impressive building has an incredible collection of over three thousand statues and is adorned with 135 spires. The view from the top of the cathedral whilst not for the faint-hearted, is simply magnificent. You can also visit the nearby Santa Maria della Grazie church and see Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting, The Last Supper. This impressive work of art is even more incredible up-close than its many reproductions and will certainly leave an impression upon any art-connoisseur. Continuing upon this cultural adventure, make sure you set aside plenty of time to discover the Castello Sforzesco. The former residence of the Duchy of Milan is one of the largest citadels in Europe, a veritable labyrinth home to 12 museums and a vast array of archives that would require a whole holiday to pore through. Art fans will be overwhelmed by the collections hidden away within this Castello complex. Make a bee-line for the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco. This civic museum is home to an expensive and diverse art collection which boasts famous works by the likes of Mantegna, Michelangelo and da Vinci. Magnifico! Lovers of natural beauty, will enjoy a relaxing trip to lake Como, less than an hour from Milan. Up there, you will be quite close to lake Lugano and Switzerland as well. Why not cross the border to sample some original Swiss chocolate?
