Review
Liguria offers an incredible number of excursion options, starting with the cities, because Genoa, Cinque Terre and Portofino alone are very well known and a trip here is a must. There are also smaller towns and villages, such as Camogli, which is a beautiful fishing village. You can also go for walks and hikes, with great views and panoramas. What is a bit of a shame is the extreme tourism, especially in Cinque Terre. The beaches are also clear and fine almost everywhere.

Chances are, you’ll be unfolding your own red, white, and blue umbrella, pitching it into the white, powdery sand and sipping a lime daiquiri or refreshing white Italian wine while staring off into the charming sea. Liguria is one of the most stylish and extravagant yet relaxing beach destinations in Italy, they don’t call it the “Italian Riviera” for nothing. When in Liguria, live like the Ligurians and settle in for a while. Genoa is the capital of the region and it is a classy and cosmopolitan capital at that. It is also less packed out by tourists making a visit more relaxed.
