It's a cosy place, right on the water. I wouldn't go there for a beach holiday, but I would recommend it for hiking and exploring the town. The people there were all very nice and helpful. A visit to Stresa and Ascona is definitely worthwhile. You can find very good restaurants there that are reasonably priced. You can't usually get a bargain at the market as the prices are already very high.
