Naples is a very noisy, restless metropolis. In the narrow streets of the historic centre, you have to be careful not to get hit by one of the countless scooter drivers. The city itself is very dirty and there are few places to escape the hustle and bustle. There are two metro lines and bus connections in the city, which can be used to cover longer distances. However, there is no timetable. Naples has a ferry harbour where you can travel to the islands of Procida, Ischia and Capri. In Naples itself there are countless restaurants for pizza and pasta.

I travelled to Naples by train as I had heard that the traffic was very exhausting, which was confirmed. I got from A to B easily on foot or by underground. The city offers a beautiful culture, interesting architecture and many cathedrals to discover. I also went to see Mount Vesuvius, which was a very impressive experience. The restaurant Trattoria Don Vincenzo tasted very good and had a great atmosphere

We travelled by train, which was no problem, and we stayed close to the city centre. We spent a day at the castle, which offers a great view and the entrance fee is fair. Naples also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. The day trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius was highly recommended, and the connections there are also very good. Unfortunately, the city was hopelessly overcrowded in some places. Otherwise, the price was also very worthwhile, especially for young travellers (we were 21).
Highligts
Very lively city with lots of places to eat and drink. Great day trip to Vesuvius and Pompeii.
Hidden gems
From Castel Sant Elmo you have a fantastic view over the entire region

The trip was very nice. We travelled from Switzerland to Naples by car. I loved the Sotterranea di Napoli and all the beautiful churches. I ate at the Donna Sofia restaurant, which was delicious. In the city, I recommend the car as a means of transport for long distances. Otherwise, I recommend walking.
Highligts
A highlight was the delicious Napoletan pizza in the Donna Sofia restaurant. Also the Sotterranea di Napoli, an underground cave with a guided tour in German or English. The beautiful old town is also a highlight. I also really enjoyed the churches.
Hidden gems
