A trip to Bonn is definitely worthwhile. At 1.50 euros, the Deutsche Bahn car park is really cheap for today's prices. The city has a wonderful old town centre. To see the city from above, I recommend a view from the Posttower. If you visit the city in September, you can look forward to a lovely funfair right on the Rhine. There are also plenty of great restaurants and pubs. The city's infrastructure is very good. I would recommend the city at any time. However, a little caution is advised at the railway station due to aggressive homeless people.

My visit to Bonn turned out to be a fascinating journey through a city that combines its rich history with modern flair. The Beethoven House proved to be a cultural jewel whose intimate atmosphere and insights into the life of the famous composer left a lasting impression. The Kunsthalle Bonn also impressed with contemporary art and an inspiring atmosphere. A highlight was the walk along the Rhine promenade. The view of the river and the opportunity to linger in cosy cafés made for relaxing hours. The Poppelsdorf Palace Gardens offered a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, ideal for a relaxing stroll. Culinary-wise, Bonn surprised me with a variety of restaurants. A special experience was dinner at "Altes Bonn", where I was able to sample local specialities such as Rhenish sauerbraten. The atmosphere of the historic restaurant contributed to an unforgettable evening. Conversely, the lively nightlife in Bonn was comparatively quiet, which might be less appealing to some travellers. Even though the city has a rich history, there are fewer iconic sights compared to other European metropolises. One place I would recommend avoiding is the main railway station, which can be a little overwhelming due to its size and surrounding construction sites. Instead, I would recommend exploring the charming alleyways and squares in the old town. Overall, my trip to Bonn was a harmonious blend of culture, history and enjoyment. The city may not have the grandeur of other European cities, but it certainly has its own charm and a relaxed atmosphere that exceeded my expectations.

My week in Bonn was a wonderful experience. The Beethoven House was definitely a highlight, informative and moving at the same time. The Poppelsdorf Palace Gardens were also beautiful and perfect for a leisurely stroll. From a culinary point of view, I was pleasantly surprised in Bonn. The restaurant "Am Boeselagerhof" delighted me with a varied and delicious selection, while the charming cafés in the historic city centre impressed me with their delicious cakes. Getting around was easy thanks to the well-developed public transport network. Cycling along the Rhine was a pleasure thanks to the well-maintained cycle paths. A little tip: if you don't have a bike, you can easily hire one there at a fair price. For future visits, I might consider avoiding tourist hotspots in the city centre at peak times. Bonn was a really small but lovely city. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I found the city of Bonn very, very beautiful. Apart from the fact that it has so many historical sights to offer, such as the Beethoven House, the fun factor is also well catered for with activities such as cruises on the Rhine. The only really negative thing is the public transport - otherwise there is almost nothing to complain about. I can only recommend it!

Bonn is definitely a city that I associate with some positive experiences. It's a city with a lot of character. The highlight of my holiday was visiting Drachenburg Castle with my family. The art museum is definitely an insider tip. Bonn is the perfect holiday destination.

Why not chill in the park during the summer as the weather is known to be hot and is a perfect chance to relax and sunbathe in the gardens!

With many parades going through the streets of the city with a variety of floats, it is a great celebration for any tourist!
