Schöneberg apartments in Berlin
Schöneberg is a neighbourhood in south Berlin, with Wilmersdorf to the west, Tiergarten to the north, and Kreuzberg and Tempelhof to the east. There is an apartment Schöneberg for everyone. Schöneberg's Bavarian Quarter, so named because many of the streets are named after Bavarian cities, was once home to Albert Einstein, among other celebrities, and is now one of the loveliest living areas in the city. Nollendorfplatz is one of Berlin's gay and lesbian centres, and you'll also find plenty of bars and pubs around there, and the Lesbisch-schwules Stadtfest, Europe's largest gay and lesbian street festival, takes place there every summer. You can learn more about the area around your apartment Schöneberg at the Tempelhof-Schöneberg Museum.
It's just a short journey to Tempelhof, a former airport which now acts as a public park and cultural event space, and to Kreuzberg, the hippest neighbourhood in Berlin, where you'll find a number of the city's most famous – or infamous – clubs. An apartment Schöneberg in the north of the neighbourhood puts you in close proximity to Tiergarten and KaDeWe, Berlin's famous department store, as well as the Kurfürstendamm, where you'll find more high end designers, as well as chic cafés and restaurants.
