During our time in Oberstdorf, all the roads leading to Austria were completely full every morning. So it was very difficult to get anywhere by car. That's why we often travelled on the Nebelhornbahn. Oberstdorf has a beautiful church and a good tourist information centre. The ski jump is also definitely worth a visit and is so unique. Unfortunately, you have to pay a lot of money for parking almost everywhere.

Oberstdorf in the beautiful Allgäu, on the southernmost edge of Germany, is a wonderful holiday destination for families with children, but also for group trips. There is something for everyone. The Fellhorn or Nebelhorn are wonderful places to ski in winter, while in summer you can go hiking. We also recommend the cross-country stadium, with well-groomed trails, if you are not an alpine skiing enthusiast.

A very nice holiday resort. I liked the Fellhorn best because there are beautiful hiking trails and ski areas, the village of Fürth has good Bavarian specialities, there are good bus and train connections, but you can also go on foot, by bike or by car. I would come late in the year for more snow, because sometimes there is very little snow.

Last December I spent the weekend in Obersdorf with my partner. Oberstdorf is highly recommended for switching off and getting out into nature. Even if the journey in winter with snow is very sporty, it's always worth it. In our opinion, it is more beautiful in winter than in summer.
