Roussillon is situated in the Vaucluse department in south east France and is a village not to be missed. Famous for its large ochre deposits, the village treats visitors to the sight of multicoloured houses with façades of different shades of orange, red and yellow. The former ochre quarry in the village can be visited from the Ochre Path, where you can talk a 30-60 minute walk through it's old workings.
