Deauville holiday rentals – the Parisian Riviera is calling!
It’s less flashy and more convenient than the Cote d’Azur, so why not rent a holiday apartment Deauville on the Cote Fleurie, or “Parisian Riviera”, in Normandy this summer? Founded just over 150 years ago as a coastal getaway for Parisians, they still come to Deauville at the weekends and in the summer to spend time sunbathing on the wide, sandy beach, or gamble in the Casino Barriere, which would certainly not look out of place in Monte Carlo, or watch some horse racing at the Hippodrome La Touques or Hippodrome de Clairefontaine. Horses are a huge part of life in Deauville; there is also eventing, jumping, horse auctions and regular polo games; get up early enough in the morning and you can also witness the racehorses training on the beach. The town also hosts sailing events such as Deauville International Week and Deauville Classic week. In September, it is home to the prestigious Deauville American Film Festival, and just along the coast, the town of Cabourg hosts a Romantic Film Festival every July.
Many of our Deauville holiday rentals are under 200m from the water, and some are even directly on the coast. Given Deauville’s small size, every rental is well-located. All that separates Deauville from her smaller, slightly more casual sister Trouville-sur-Mer is the tiny La Touques river, so do go across for a day trip. Like anywhere in France, Deauville is also a gastronomic paradise - it is located in Calvados, so be sure to try some of their delicious brandy, cider, and apple desserts, along with local cheeses and seafood.
Deauville holiday rentals are a great way to stay in Deauville affordably – save some money for the casino, betting on horses, or even for the designer boutiques in the centre of town.
