Ski on the French Alps with Meribel chalets
Meribel is a French ski resort located in the Alps, west of Courchevel and reasonably close to the Swiss border. It is in 'les 3 Vallées', the largest skiing area in the entire world. Ski and winter-sport enthusiasts flock to Meribel chalets every year to experience the wonderful skiing opportunities. However that's not all you can do on this Alpine range. With all sorts of activities from paragliding to snowboarding, you're sure to be satisfied in one of our Meribel apartments. Meribel has groomed pistes with guaranteed snow, however the ski slopes are only available from autumn through to Easter, so be sure to check opening times before booking your Meribel chalets.
Meribel apartments – not just a ski holiday
During the summer the resort is less busy due to closing of the ski slopes, but this just opens up more opportunities for visitors as Meribel apartments are perfect all year round. Go on hikes up and through the towering mountains that surround the town and experience the flora and fauna unique to this area. The mountain tops make it possible to view the town in all its glory as the backdrop of distant mountains and the blanket of forest just makes for great panoramas. The weather is great during the summer so don't be surprised if you get a sun tan. You can also go on mountain bike trails which is a popular pastime of tourists here. There are also many events and festivals all year round which offer great music, fireworks shows and brilliant French cuisine. If you're looking for more Alpine inspiration, why not check out the vibrant city of Grenoble?
