Päijänne House is a Fishing and Nature Centre where visitors can discover the local nature and the past and present of fishing. The Kalkkinen Canal is a beautiful canal in Asikkala, which is over a kilometre long and 20 metres wide which joins lakes Päijänne and Ruotsalainen, perfect for an afternoon stroll in the sunshine. Most European airlines have daily connections to Helsinki -Vantaa and from there you can take a bus Lahti and / or Asikkala. By train the nearest train station is situated in Lahti, approximately 25 km from Asikkala. By car Asikkala is situated in Southern Finland, the Päijät-Häme region isapproximately 25 km from city of Lahti and 125 km from city of Helsinki.
