Henne Strand offers broad, white sand beaches, large dunes, forest and heath, which you can experience through hiking or cycling. You can also visit the Legoland, the Givskud Zoo or the Esbjerg Fishing Museum. If you prefer water sports, you are also spoilt for choice in Henne Strand. Whether you want windsurfing or kitesurfing or a fishing trip, you won’t have to search for long for something to do here.
What activities are available here?
The main and best attraction of Henne Strand is probably the Blaabjerg Plantage with the mountain of the same name, which provides a wonderful view over the forest and dunes area in the vicinity. For enthusiastic hikers, the numerous hiking trails are recommended, which lead from Henne Strand over the southern Plantage to Norre Nebel. In addition, you can play mini golf, rent bikes, go horseback riding, play golf, play tennis or kite surfing and all located near to your holiday rental. Henne Strand also has a popular campsite and a nearby international 18-hole golf course. If you prefer to do some more travelling on your holiday, why not take a day trip to one of the Danish islands such as Fanø or travel north to see the spectacle of the Northern lights.
Amenities and travelling around the area
The village center consists mainly of small shops and restaurants, which are open all year round. The nearest airport is Esbjerg (45 min car drive). With its extensive railway network, Denmark is ideally suited for exploring by train. The nearest station is 10 mins away by car.
