Jungholz holiday rentals – a little piece of Tyrol in Bavaria

Jungholz is a village in a Tyrolean exclave in the Bavarian Allgäu – it’s only accessible via German roads, has both a German and Austrian postcode, and is connected to the rest of Austria at the summit of the mountain Sorgschrofen. Its closest airports are Munich and Innsbruck. Jungholz is a fantastic ski resort for people of all ages who are starting out with skiing, including families, and you’ll be certain to find a Jungholz holiday apartment, chalet or farmhouse to suit your needs.
Jungholz holiday rentals are great whether you want to learn to ski or to snowboard. Young beginners will love N’Ice Bear Kinderland, a play area where they can have fun and find their feet on their skis. The next level up is Snow Learnland. Confident skiiers can book Snow Raceland for private races and competitions. The resort has 10km of piste in total. When you’re ready to take a break from skiing, you can visit the new Sonneninsel (sun island) to chill out on deck chairs “imported” from the North Sea coast. There are also ski huts providing delicious food, conveniently located right next to the pistes. Turmbar hosts après-ski, but you can have lots of fun with friends and family at home in your holiday apartment Jungholz.
Why not take a day trip to another resort – Oberjoch is only ten minutes away by car, and has 32km of piste, and Nebelhorn/Oberstdorf has 5km of black piste.
In summer, a Jungholz holiday rental makes for a great peaceful getaway from hectic everyday life. The views across the alps are fantastic, plus there are walking and cycling routes ready to be discovered. Under half an hour’s drive away are the scenic lake Haldensee and the quaint villages of Haldensee and Grän, where you can even find a 500m² open air swimming pool right next to the lake. It's under an hour to Kempten, and only an hour and a half's driving through the mountains will take you all the way to Lindau on Lake Constance.
