The Rias Baixas region consists of the southern part of the province of A Coruna and and all of Pontevedra province in the autonomous community of Galicia, located in north western Spain and next to the coastline of Rias Altas.
The area has been designated a Denominacion de Origen for the quality of the wines produced here, the region is renowned for its wine produced from the Albarino grapes.
