Consisting of approximately 480,000 multi-lingual citizens who speak a combination of French, Luxembourgian and German, Luxembourg has a constitutional monarchy with parliamentary democracy. The highest point of the country is the “Montée the Dommeldange” with its peak at 408 metres above sea level whereas the lowest lying point is “Beggen” at only 203 metres above sea level. With a height of 103 metres, the tallest building is of course the “Cour de justice des Communautés européennes” (Court of Justice of the European Union). The Grand-Duchy is also home to a wide variety of historical ruins and monuments – all of which serve as a reminder of Luxembourg's great history.

The historic center of Luxembourg has been awarded with UNESCO World Culture Heritage status. For anyone who has visited the stunning Grand-Duc Palace, the City Hall, the Chamber of Deputies or the Main Station, this should come as no surprise. Despite this impressive history, Luxembourg is also a very modern city, with excellent highway connections, an international airport and a connection to the French TGV rail network. From Luxembourgh, you can easily catch the train to stunning cities like Brussels, Strasbourgh or Lille. This makes the city to a perfect place not only for holiday but also for business, trade fair and congress centers. The headquarters of one of Europe's biggest media enterprises, RTL, is also situated in the Grand-Duchy.
