Barnacle is a well equipped, comfortable and homely 2/3 bedroom holiday home in a great location with very affordable prices for this area.
On the ground floor is an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen and a separate room which can be used as a 3rd bedroom or a 2nd lounge. There are a 32 inch TV, DVD player, WiFi and a phone for incoming calls. There is a dining table, chairs and dresser in the dining area and an electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery in the kitchen. The additional ground floor room has a 'day bed' which can be used for seating or comfortably sleeping one or two people. The French doors open out onto a patio area.
On the first floor are a double bedroom, a bunk bedroom and a fully tiled shower room.
Outside is a garden bench and a dedicated parking space.
Barnacle is available for stays all year round - warm and cosy in the winter, light and practical in the summer. It is one of eight similar properties at Freshwater Bay Holiday Village that are owned and run by Jenny and her family. So if you are planning a family get together you may be able to rent more than one holiday home. You can be assured of a friendly local service as Jenny lives just half a mile away.
FRESHWATER BAY HOLIDAY VILLAGE and LOCAL FACILITIES
Freshwater Bay Holiday Village is located in the lower part of Freshwater East, by the beach. The Longhouse is a useful facility at the front of the holiday village with a small shop, pub, restaurant, function room, games room and payphone. Pets are not allowed in the holiday village.
The Freshwater Inn, in the upper part of Freshwater East, serves meals and has spectacular panoramic views over Freshwater Bay. It has a lovely pub garden with benches from which you can enjoy this view.
The coastal bus service stops on the lane between the holiday village and the beach. The nearest train station is at Lamphey, about 2 miles away. Lamphey also has a Spar shop, a bakery, the Dial Inn and two hotels with restaurants.
Banks and supermarkets can be found in Pembroke (4 miles), Pembroke Dock (6 miles) and Tenby (8 miles). There are plenty of good places in the locality to enjoy meals cooked with local fresh food.
'Barnacle' has a good location within the holiday village, being near to the beach, not overlooked and an end of terrace property. It receives very favourable feedback from visitors. Particularly popular with families, many return year after year.
